About Me

I’m a husband, a father, an accountant, and a knife maker. If there is a mold from which knife makers are made, I was likely made sometime after it was broken. I’m not a “knife guy” in the normal sense of the word. There has been no lifelong obsession. I make knives because I’m a craftsman and an artist, and I like the challenge that knife making provides. I make them because I like to create things of beauty, and a knife can be both useful and elegant.

About My Knives

I make knives that I’d like to own. Usually I make knives I’d like to use. Occasionally I make knives I think are too pretty to use, but that would still make great users. Each knife I make is chosen to challenge me in some way, to push my skills, and to make me a better knife maker. Every one is the best that my skill will allow at the time I make it. Check out my gallery to see a sampling of some of my work.

Purchasing A Knife

I don’t take orders because I want to make knives I like. I do better work when making knives I want to make, and I feel that my customers deserve my best. I do, however, have an email list. Whenever I finish a knife, I’ll take pictures and send them out to those on the list 2 or 3 days before I post it for sale on the various forums. If you want an early shot at some of my work, this is the only way to get it.
